Exclusive Networks operates this resource and talent development program in the Technology Park at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo to help nurture the next generation of cybersecurity talent and address the skills gap. Cal Poly's “Learn-by-Doing” philosophy ensures that students gain knowledge and skills through hands-on experiences, preparing them to tackle real-world challenges. This approach enables graduates to make an immediate impact in their careers. By partnering with the university, Exclusive Networks provides students the chance to work alongside cybersecurity professionals, preparing them for successful careers in the field upon graduation.

The Situation:

  There is a global shortfall of approximately 4 million cybersecurity professionals needed to meet demand. The US alone faces nearly 500,000 open cybersecurity positions.

 CyberSeek data reveals that the US only has 74 qualified workers for every 100 open jobs, and filling these roles takes 21% longer than other tech jobs.

 Typically, new hire training spans 49 months for entry-level candidates and 56% of organizations struggle to recruit while 54% struggle to retain cyber talent.
